A Letter Regarding March 14th

 Dear Parents/Guardians:

 As you may be aware, some students are planning to participate in The National School Walkout Day on Wednesday, March 14th to show support for students and families of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. While we welcome and value students’ enthusiasm, we would like to help them express their support in a safe and constructive manner. Accordingly, at 10:00 A.M. students will be permitted to gather in a designated area determined that morning, where they will have an opportunity to express their support for students affected by this tragedy. Students will return to the building at 10:20 A.M. for our regular lunch period.

The National School Walkout Day is a voluntary activity and students that wish to remain in class will do so with their teacher. Additional security precautions will be taken to supervise this event. Our School Resource Officer, Officer Negri, will be on site and will assist in the activity. Please be advised that no traffic or visitors will be permitted on campus between 9:55 A.M. and 10:25 A.M. that morning. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time.

A Letter from the Principal


Dear Parents and Guardians,   

Second semester began on Friday, January 26, 2018. Our students met during homeroom and received schedules for the second half of the school year. Freshman now have a study hall built into their schedules to help create more time focused on student learning. Students will have access to Chrome books and online tools during these periods. Our hope is that increased resources and time for independent work will positively influence learning.

First semester/second quarter report cards should be posted on the Home Access Center on/or about February 1, 2018.

Please be aware that teachers will be available to speak with you about your student’s academic progress on Thursday, March 8, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. These meetings are primarily for parents of those students who are experiencing academic difficulty.  Information will be on our website.

Please note we have tentatively rescheduled our parent teacher conferences to occur on March 22 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.  An official announcement will be made soon.
