Dear Parents and Guardians:
All students, Grades 9 through 12, will attend the Senior Awards Assembly on Thursday morning, May 30, 2013. The Senior Awards Assembly runs from 8:30 to 10:15 AM. Classes resume for all students following the assembly.
The 2013 Senior Prom is scheduled for Thursday night, June 20, 2013. Graduation is Sunday, June 23, 2013, at 2:00 PM. More specific information regarding these events will be forthcoming, from me, to the parents and students.
In January I mailed a letter to parents and guardians of the Class of 2014 regarding student parking for the 2013 – 2014 school year.
Students will be required to take a defensive driving course (not a driver education program) in order to receive a parking permit. In addition to numerous options, please be aware of the following:
• www.ny.aaa.com is an Automobile Association of America site that offers defensive driving online or in a classroom setting.
• The National Traffic Safety Institute (NTSI) offers courses online.
• NTSI also offers courses through the Nanuet Adult Education Program and the schedule for the courses will be available on the district’s web site at the end of January. The anticipated dates of the courses through Nanuet Adult Education are:
• March 18 and 20 (attendance required both days) from 6:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.• April 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.• May 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.• May 13 and 15 (attendance required both days) from 6:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
If you require details regarding defensive driving through Nanuet Adult Education, Mrs. Pam Rose may be reached at 627-9860 or 627-9862.
Please remember that by Board of Education policy, only members of the senior class are permitted to park on school property.
Thank you for your cooperation.
