UPCOMING EVENTS

• AP exams will be held from Monday, May 7 to Tuesday, May 15, 2012.
• Public Budget Forum will take place on Tuesday, May 1, at 7:45 PM at the High School.
• SAT at Nanuet, Saturday, May 5 at 7:45 AM.
• Incoming 9^th Grade Parents Informational Meetings, will be held on Wednesday, May 9, at 7:00 PM and Friday, May 11, at 8:30 AM in the HS Media Center.
• Voter Registration will take place on Wednesday, May 11, from 1-7 PM in the High School lobby.
• The Nanuet School District will be holding its annual Budget Vote on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, in the Nanuet Senior High School, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
• The High School Music Department will present their annual Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 15, at 8:00 PM, in the High School auditorium.
• PTSA meeting, Wednesday, May 16, 7:30 PM.
• PTA Council Meeting, Wednesday, May 30, at 7:30 PM.
• Spring Athletic Awards Dinner, will be held on Wednesday, May 30 at 7:00 PM.
• Senior Awards Assembly will be held on Thursday, May 31, from 8:30 to 10:30 AM.

  ART DEPARTMENT NEWS
  

  Sunday, May 20, will be the opening of the district-wide Celebration of the Arts.  High School Art and Photography student’s work will be featured alongside that of younger students in this popular annual event. Please join us for our opening reception, 1–3 PM, at the Nanuet Public Library.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

Final Exams

Students in ninth, tenth and eleventh grades who have Physical Education on A/C days will take their exams on Tuesday, June 5, in a classroom to be determined at a later date.  Students in ninth, tenth and eleventh grades who have Physical Education on B/D days will take their exams on Wednesday, June 6, in a classroom to be determined at a later date.

Senior Projects

NANUET ASR SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM

 The Nanuet Applied Science Research (ASR) students will be presenting their science research projects at the annual ASR Science Symposium in the High School Media Center on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 7:00 PM.  Refreshments will be served.  All interested students and parents are welcome to attend.  Come see the award-winning research done by Nanuet students.

SPORT PHYSICALS

Sport Physicals for the 2012-2013 Season will be offered for boys on Tuesday, June 5, and for girls on Wednesday, June 6, beginning at 2:15 PM in the Main Gymnasium.  Any student who plans to participate in a fall, winter or spring sport will need a physical to be eligible.  Private physicals will be accepted, but must be co-signed by our school physician Dr. Ingrassia.  All 10^th graders are required by New York State to have a physical either by their private physician or by the physicals offered in June with Dr. Ingrassia.  Please contact Mrs. Nora Sullivan with any questions at 627-9810.

Registration forms for Virtual High School classes for students who will be a Junior or a Senior in the 2012-2013 school year are available from Mr. Kersting the Nanuet High School Technology Office.
