CLASS OF 2021, 2022 AND 2023 LETTER
GRADUATES: CLASS OF 2020 LETTER
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As our District continues to monitor the information regarding COVID-19, the Nanuet High School teachers continue to work on developing resources and tools for students. The safety and well-being of our students is our top priority and we are working hard to promote a positive learning environment every day.
Teachers have developed resources they will be posting via Google Classroom and other online resources they currently utilize in their classroom for home access. The high school has diverse course offerings, so our teachers are communicating with students to provide direction and clarity specific to their individual course. Teachers are also providing resources and materials as needed.
We are hopeful these resources will promote retention of material and support review for cumulative assessments in Advanced Placement and Regents level courses.
Please continue to monitor the District’s website for updates from Dr. McCahill.
In addition to your child's school counselor, if you have concerns about your high school student, please reach out to our clinical support staff:
Ms. Alison Kersh, School Social Worker email@example.com
Dr. Claire Reder, School Psychologist firstname.lastname@example.org
Ms. Rebecca Wellington, School Psychologist email@example.com
The staff has put together resources to assist:
The Nanuet Senior High School Class of 2020 personify what it means to be a Nanuet High School Golden Knight. Our Board of Education, Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, class advisors and high school administration remain focused on celebrating the graduating class of 2020. We have established a committee of stakeholders to investigate and plan end of the year celebrations. The situation is evolving and class advisors, Ms Tidd and Mrs. Hurdis have been assisting administration. We will communicate celebratory ideas and pertinent information as soon as possible. We need to focus on the amazing accomplishments of the Class of 2020.
We hope you are safe and well.
Thank you for your continued support.
